Problem statement

There are many computers in the world infected with malware because standard PC was never designed to be secure. It was designed for an open, interconnected environment where software can easily be installed on a PC, sometimes even remotely and without owner’s permission.

This open environment is perfect for the malicious code creators. They always have an opportunity to try to run an executable on a PC – often without owner’s knowledge – even if the latest security solutions are employed.

Most of these existing solutions try to recognize malicious code, either by using signature recognition or behavior analysis. The problem is the inherently reactive posture that these solutions assume and the ability for the hacker to try to find an exploit.

InZero Security Platform approach is different. This approach incorporates new, secure type of personal computer that provides execution space only for preloaded applications (Browser, Chat, Office Suite, and so on). This is done with dedicated chipsets and hardware memory control.

All malware – or any non-preinstalled code – that tries to execute on the InZero Gateway will find a read-only memory environment, thus preventing execution.
