Louis R. Hughes is one of the principal founders of InZero Systems and currently serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He is focused on directing InZero Systems’ strategic development and bringing this exciting technology to the market.
Hughes has a wealth of experience in strategic and innovative leadership. Hughes was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin, the world’s largest defense manufacturer. Prior to Lockheed Martin, he was Executive Vice President at General Motors Corporation, where he had held progressively more responsible positions for over 25 years, including President of General Motors International Operations, President of General Motors Europe, Chairman of Adam Opel AG, a subsidiary of General Motors and Chairman of Saab Automobile. Hughes presided over an unprecedented and very profitable GM expansion into the world’s emerging markets, including eastern Europe, China and India, during the 1990s. In 2004 and 2005, Hughes also served as a US diplomat in Kabul, Afghanistan as Chief of Staff of the Afghanistan Reconstruction Group and senior advisor to the Karzai cabinet.
Hughes is currently a member of the board of directors of ABB (Switzerland), Akzo Nobel (Netherlands) and Alcatel Lucent (France), where he chairs ALU’s Technology Committee. He has previously served on many other leading boards, including Deutsche Bank (Germany), Electrolux (Sweden), British Telecom (United Kingdom), Maxager Technology (USA), Sulzer (Switzerland) and MTU (Germany). He is Executive Advisor to Windpoint, a private equity firm in the US.
Hughes received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University in 1971 and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University in 1973. Among his many honors, Hughes is a recipient of the Outstanding Public Service Medal from the US Secretary of Defense, Austria’s Silver Cross of Merit with Star of the Republic and Germany’s Cross of Merit, First Class for his contribution to the German Unification.
Gerald E. O’Shaughnessy is one of the principal founders of InZero Systems. He is a well-known international investor; from 1986 until the present, O’Shaughnessy has focused on private venture capital investment activities, including international oil and gas exploration and development through the Globe Resources Group.
In 1992, O’Shaughnessy acquired a geophysical service company which co-founded the first energy sector joint venture in Russia during perestroika and from 1992 to 1995 he initiated and managed the largest well servicing and rehabilitation project in Western Siberia, involving sophisticated logistical operations and the rehabilitation of 700 wells – increasing production from 0 to 100,000 bpd. In 2001, he co-founded GEOPARK Holdings, the Latin American oil and gas producer, where he currently serves as Executive Chairman.
O’Shaughnessy graduated from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in government and law.
Dr. Alexander V. Pyntikov is a co-inventor and one of the principal founders of InZero Systems and currently serves as its President and Chief Operating Officer. He provides day-to-day management and outlines direction for the company’s development.
Dr. Pyntikov is an experienced entrepreneur and prolific inventor, having successfully launched a number of hi-tech ventures in the US and overseas.
Dr. Pyntikov has developed and patented numerous inventions in the medical, biotech, electric vehicles and computerized control systems, hardware, software and communications areas.
Technologies he developed have been successfully commercialized and are now being utilized by a variety of corporations, including Ford Motor, Magna International (Canada), and Matra (France).
Prior to coming to the US in 1997, he was deputy chairman of the Innovation Board of the Russian Government and vice president of the Russian Innovation Fund. He became a US citizen in 2009.
Dr. Pyntikov holds an MD degree in neuroscience. He has received additional academic training in physics, chemistry, and biology.
Dr. Alexander N. Dubrov is one of the principal founders of InZero Systems. In his advisory position, he brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience on the international stage, having successfully launched a number of high-profile companies.
At present, Dr. Dubrov is a member of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine, as well as a founder and principal investor of Odeskabel (Fiber Optic Company in Odessa, Ukraine) and assistant and advisor to the People’s Deputy of the Supreme Council of Ukraine.
Dr. Dubrov holds a PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences in the area of Solid Body Physics.
Dr. Dubrov is a recipient of the prestigious Golden Mercury International Order award, as well as Government Prize of Ukraine in the field of Science and Engineering.
Oleksiy Shevchenko is the main inventor and one of the principal founders of InZero Systems and currently serves as its Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to founding InZero Systems, Mr. Shevchenko was Founder and Chief Technology Officer of the Laboratory of Security Technologies. While there, he provided strategic management and technical vision for the development of data protection systems for personal computers and highly complex network systems.
Prior to that, Mr. Shevchenko founded LiveRepair.com, Inc. – an online computer repair and support company, and served as Chief Technology Officer. In that position, he managed large teams of developers and designed complex computer networks.
Mr. Shevchenko has a Masters Degree with Honors in Electrical Engineering from Lviv Polytechnic State University, Ukraine and has taught computer courses: Operating Systems, Computer Networks and Computer Network Security.
Wesley K. Clark is a businessman, educator, writer and commentator.
General Clark serves as Chairman and CEO of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, a strategic consulting firm; Chairman of investment bank Rodman & Renshaw; Chairman of Emergya Wind Technologies Americas; Co-Chairman of Growth Energy; senior fellow at UCLA’s Burkle Center for International Relations; Director of International Crisis Group; and Chairman of City Year Little Rock. General Clark has authored three books and serves as a member of the Clinton Global Initiative’s Energy & Climate Change Advisory Board, and ACORE’s Advisory Board.
Clark retired as a four star general after 38 years in the United States Army. He graduated first in his class at West Point and completed degrees in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University (B.A. and M.A.) as a Rhodes Scholar. While serving in Vietnam, he commanded an infantry company in combat, where he was severely wounded and evacuated home on a stretcher. He later commanded at the battalion, brigade and division level, and served in a number of significant staff positions, including service as the Director, Strategic Plans and Policy (J-5). In his last assignment as Supreme Allied Commander Europe, he led NATO forces to victory in Operation Allied Force, saving 1.5 million Albanians from ethnic cleansing.
His awards include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Defense Distinguished Service Medal (five awards), Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Honorary Knighthoods from the British and Dutch governments, and numerous other awards from other governments, including award of Commander of the Legion of Honor (France).
Parasiuk has over thirty-five years of multi-faceted executive experience in the public and private sectors in Canada and internationally. Parasiuk is a former Minister of Health and Minister of Energy and Mines for the Province of Manitoba. He has organized and advised on significant healthcare ventures in Canada, China, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Past positions include CEO of InterHealth Canada Ltd. which commissioned the national hospital for the Abu Dhabi Health Authority and Chairman of the Beijing-Toronto International Hospital Project.
Parasiuk holds Masters of Arts degrees from both the University of Manitoba and Oxford University, which he attended as a Rhodes Scholar.
Ambassador Gilbert A. Robinson is Chairman of New Realm Investments LLC. He is also President of GAR Inc., an international firm advising companies on international trade, governmental relations and communications. The company has been operating since he left the State Department. From 1998-2003, he was also National Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Center for the Study of the Presidency with headquarters in Washington, DC.
From 1983-1985, Ambassador Robinson served as Special Advisor for Public Diplomacy to Secretary of State George Shultz. In February 1981, President Reagan appointed him as Deputy Director of the United States Information Agency, and he was confirmed unanimously by the Senate.
He has held numerous other governmental appointments, including: Member, US Delegation of the OAS Foreign Ministers Conference (1987); Counselor of Public Affairs, Commission on Long-term Defense Strategy (1987-1988); Chairman, International Information Committee of the US government under the National Security Council (1981-1983); Member, Delegation for the Independence of Antigua (1983); and, Commissioner-General of the US Exhibition for the International Exposition of Tsukba, Japan (1982).
Ambassador Robinson was a businessman in New York City for 20 years before he returned to government. He was Chairman of The Public Relations Board Inc., a major public relations firm. In 1978, as Chairman of the New York Board of Trade, Ambassador Robinson led this country’s first business delegation to China for the development of new trade relationships. Earlier, he was a consultant to the Director of the Peace Corps and then Coordinator of the American National Exhibition in Moscow where he brought together Vice President Nixon and Russian Premier Nikita Khrushchev in the famous "Kitchen Debate".
After retiring from the Navy in February 2006 following 38 years of service with the rank of Rear Admiral, Hon. Cohen was unanimously confirmed by the Senate and sworn in as Undersecretary for Science and Technology for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS S&T) in August of that year.
The output focused, customer oriented makeover of DHS S&T (from the lowest morale federal government component in 2006 to amongst the highest in 2008) is a success story that is captured in Hill testimony, press articles, international partnerships, and a recent National Geographic TV special “Hi-Tech War on Terror” that documents the high risk/high gain innovation portfolio which Hon. Cohen put in place to make the nation safer.
Prior to his role with DHS, Hon. Cohen held positions of increasing responsibility with the US Navy. In June 2000, he became the 20th Chief of Naval Research. He served as CNR for an unprecedented nearly six years during Operation Iraqi Freedom as the Department of the Navy’s Chief Technology Officer, reporting directly to the Secretary of the Navy, the Chief of Naval Operations, and the Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Hon. Cohen holds Master of Science in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a joint Ocean Engineering degree from MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. He was commissioned into the Navy in 1968 upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy.
Steve Bova is a partner in Clark Bova Group, a management consulting firm headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. He has enjoyed an extensive global career in software and IT services.
From 2000 until 2008, Bova was CEO of Technisource, Inc. Prior to that he held other executive positions, including President of the Global Banking Division of EDS Corporation, and President of both the Global Financial Division and Telecommunications Division of ALLTEL Information Services (now Fidelity Information Services). Prior to that he served as Chief Information Officer for the Asia Division of Bank of America based in Hong Kong.
Bova has served on many private and public company boards in the technology sector. He is currently Chairman of GeoData Technologies and is a member of the Investment Committee of Fund for Arkansas’ Future, a private investment group focused on technology and life science start up companies. He served fifteen years as an advisory board member at THUNDERBIRD Graduate School of International Business and continues to be active in several non-profit organizations.
Among his professional honors, the division he founded and managed for ALLTEL was named the 1992 recipient of the J. William Fulbright Award for International Trade Development. In 2007, he was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Computing.
